Event Description :

Welcome to Circuit Sapiens, a premier circuit design competition collaboratively organized by the “Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering” and “Department of Electrical Engineering”. This event challenges participants to demonstrate their electronics, circuit analysis, and practical implementation expertise. Whether you are a budding engineer or an electronics enthusiast, this competition will test your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and hands-on circuit-building abilities.

The competition consists of three progressively challenging rounds, culminating in an intense circuit-building challenge. A tie-breaker round will be conducted to determine the final rankings in case of a tie. Read the rulebook carefully to ensure a fair and smooth competition experience for the event coordinators.

Timeline
Date: 02/05/2025 – Day 2 of Grafest

Time: 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM
Team Size: Individual only.
Eligibility Criteria: Open to all students interested in circuit design, electronics, and electrical systems.
Competition Theme: Participants will design, simulate, and build electronic circuits to solve problems.
Rules and Regulations: The competition consists of three rounds:

Stage 1: Basic Electronics Assessment (25 MCQs, 20 minutes).
Stage 2: Theoretical Circuit Design & Explanation (20 minutes).
Stage 3: Circuit Building (40 minutes).
A tiebreaker round will be conducted in case of a tie.
Participants must report at least 30 minutes before the competition starts.
All necessary components and tools will be provided. External tools are not allowed.
Cheating, tampering with other teams’ circuits, or misconduct will result in disqualification.
Judges’ decisions are final.

Evaluation Criteria
Stage 1: Participants must clear a cutoff score
Stage 2: Circuit diagram accuracy. Explanation clarity and depth.
Proper component selection and justification.
Stage 3: Completion time (fastest working circuit ranks highest).
Neatness and organization of wiring.
Functional circuit before time is recorded.
False alarms lead to disqualification.

Tiebreaker Round (if needed):
Speed and accuracy of circuit modifications OR Performance in a rapid-fire technical quiz.
